Build a storage shed for all your outdoor "stuff". A garden shed or barn can be used to store tools, equipment and gardening supplies. Many sheds are available as prefab units or in some cases completely assembled.

Whether you build a shed from scratch, purchase a kit or buy a completed shed you will need to prepare a place to set your shed. One option is to pour a concrete slab as a floor. You can also build a wooden floor or simply use the ground as flooring. It is best to have the floor above grade to avoid water damage to the items stored in the shed. Always place stored items on runners to keep them dry, should water gather on the shed floor.

Shed Kits

You can purchase shed kits for the simplest of garden tool sheds to elaborate storage buildings with shelves and overhead storage compartments. Most major home improvement centers carry, or can order, storage shed kits. Some offer services to deliver and assemble sheds for you.
